Here is a list of our favourite resorts around Europe and overseas. We particularly use Val d'Isere and Meribel for corporate trips, but can also arrange trips to other resorts.

alpe d'huez

• ski to your doorstep in this playground for skiers of all abilities. Situated at the heart of the linked area of Les Grandes Rousses, with 86 lifts and 220km of piste, Alpe d'Huez is one of France's largest alpine resorts. The scenery is amazing and the choice of runs for everyone is endless. This high-altitude ski area has great access to all areas, and even boasts the longest black run in the Alpes and the longest vertical descent at 2330 meters.

• the characteristic alpine village also offers something for everyone. Over the years it has grown into a lively town with a reputation for its apres ski. and if more active wishes are on the list; night skiing, skating, snowshoeing and an indoor climbing wall make up some of the other activities available.

cervinia

• cervinia is one of Italy's most popular resorts, with a vibrant night life, good food, magnificent Matterhorn scenery and great skiing. It also benefits from having its own glacier and lots of sunshine.

• the extensive ski area, of 180 km prepared piste, is served by an excellent lift system which connects Cervinia to both Valtournache and Zermatt (Switzerland).

• the slopes range from cruising motorways to long red descents, and offer a great ski experience for all abilities.

• apres ski ranges from lovely fondue at Chez Lombard, to cocktails at the village's own ice rink bar. The choice is upbeat, lively, if slightly pricy.

• this resort has something for everyone. With its own glacier Les Deux Alpes guarantees great conditions, and the slopes are as many and as varied as any level of skier could want. From open wide blues to dreamy fields of powder, this ski resort gets full marks in all departments!

• the lively and characteristic village also offers something for everyone. The streets are crammed with bars and eateries to suit all tastes, and if more active wishes are on the list; ice skating, bowling and swimming are but a few of the available activities.

• les 2 alpes is a resort that suits the avid skier just as well as the avid after skier. It provides great fun for both the day and the night.

• meribel is the true definition of an all-round ski resort. It offers fantastic skiing, spread over vast areas during the day, and then turns in to a real apres ski capital at night. Ski revellers from all over the world flock here every year to experience the essence of the 3 valleys.

• meribel is attached to the other resorts in the 3 valleys through a highly efficient lift and slope system, which makes it a thrill to travel on guided trips and get to see the whole magnificent area.

• the mountain side, which plays home to meribel village, is covered with charming and attractive old and new style chalets, and most are within easy walking distance of the nearest lift.

• saas fee is a beautiful alpine village with a magnificent backdrop of towering peaks and dazzling glaciers. It has a car free centre, and electric ski buses make it easy and comfortable to get around.

• it is probably the most snow sure resort in Europe and full of Swiss charm - nicknames 'The pearl of the Alps'. - the Metro Alpin, Europe's highest cable railway, continues up to Mittelallalin and the highest revolving restaurant in the world, at 11,500ft.

• apres ski activities are many and varied, promising something for all tastes, with plenty of lively bars and clubs, 20 kms of romantic forest walks, and ice rink, cinema and a leisure centre.

• saas fee is an ideal resort to keep all level of skier happy and occupied. Great nursery areas and blue runs for beginners, fantastic cruising slopes for intermediates and plenty of challenges for advanced skiers.

st.anton

• picturesque St. Anton is considered to be one of the best high alpine resorts in the world. This famous village is set in the heart of the vast Arlberg Ski Circus, which opens up 260 km of great skiing.

• dedicated skiers the world over are attracted to St Anton's superb powder and excellent snow record.

• there's excellent skiing for intermediates also, with added adventure to be found for those who seek it. Beginners will be well looked after on the easier slopes and nursery area which is centrally position on the side of the village.

• the village itself offers a bustling atmosphere, with an attractive and traditional pedestrian area, lined with shops, bars and cafes. St. Anton has also acquired a world famous name for its outstanding apres ski atmosphere - it has to be experienced to be believed!

saalbach hinterglemm

• set in scenic Salzburgerland, the twin villages of Saalbach and Hinterglemm are superbly positioned for the extensive 'Ski Circus', where a system of 63 interconnecting lifts put 200 km of prepared pistes at your ski tips. This is heaven for skiers of all standards, with the added bonus of the Austrian charm and efficiency.

• saalbach is the more lively village of the two with a wide variety of eateries, bars and clubs, while Hinterglemm offers a more sophisticated and sedate view of village life. Both are very charming, and as they are so close to each other, allow you to try out the atmosphere of either.

• skiing can be done in a new area for each day of the week, as the resorts offer enough to keep any skier occupied. Easier runs are centrally positioned along the villages, while the intermediate runs are of varied difficulty to offer every level skier with a challenge or an open blue if wanted. Dedicated skiers will appreciate the blacks on the Zwolferkogel and the 4km run under the Shattenberg cable car.

tignes

• set in the dramatic scene of the Savoie Alps, Tignes offers some of the best and most challenging skiing in Europe. The resort is actually made up of 5 main centres; Les Almes, Lavachet, Bel Rouge, Le Rosset and Val Claret - all of which are linked by a free bus.

• tignes opens up an almost unmatched choice of possibilities for the advanced skier, from powder bowls and mogul fields to challenging couloirs. Intermediates will find an almost endless variety of beautiful wide pistes, and testing runs for the better skiers. There are also plenty of easy runs for novice skiers, who can graduate up to the La Motte glacier once the basic techniques have been mastered.

• a good choice of restaurants and bars, many with live music, create a nice atmosphere for after skiers. There are also a wide variety of other activities available including tennis, climbing walls, an ice rink, bowling and squash courts.

val thorens

• val thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe and arguably one of the best! It lies on the top of the 3 Valleys ski area, with doorstep skiing wherever you stay. Its altitude means this resort enjoys long hours of sunshine and an excellent snow record.

• meribel, Couchevel and Les Menuires are within easy access on the well linked piste and lift system.

• skiing is fantastic and beginners have a vast area of green runs to enjoy right next to the village. For intermediates it is described as a true paradise, with runs for any level of excitement. For the more advance d there are many well marked itineraries and also excellent high altitude powder to tickle your fancy.

• the village has a great and relaxed apres ski atmosphere, with a good choice of bars and restaurants as well as 3 nightclubs.

verbier

• this chic Swiss resort is set in one of Europe's most outstanding ski regions, the Four Valleys, which offers at least 400km of piste skiing.

• the village lies in a sunny, south facing bowl with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. It has managed to retain its alpine charm with chalet style accommodation and a lively town centre.

• with a good snow record, Verbier offers great skiing for everyone. Miles of black mogul runs, sheer couloirs and steep skiing keep the advanced occupied. The intermediate skiers are equally well catered for, with some of the most varied scenic skiing in the Alps, on a wide range of blue and red runs. Beginners start out on the sunny nursery slopes above the village, and go on to tackle the easy blue runs.

whistler

• whistler resort is home to both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, and lies in the impressive west coast mountains of British Columbia, just 75 miles north of Vancouver.

• the attractive pedestrianised resort is packed full of shops, bars and restaurants, and has a lively after ski and night life. - whistler has consistently been ranked number one all round ski resort in North America by independent surveys - and it is easy to see why: the skiing is superb, on a wide variety of terrain, suited to all abilities.

• Whistler has over 200 runs, plus 2 glaciers and 6 snow bowls - all accessible on one lift pass.
